Sportsfest Accident #1

November 2, 2008 at 2:18 am (Clumsy Moments)

Sportsfest 2006. I was a part of the red team. Sadly, I was very lonely of being apart of that. Our team called for a final practice outside the basketball court. The basket ball court had straw strings around it. When I was called, I ran outside of the court… Causing me to trip on the straw strings…. Giving me wounds and bruises again… ON my elbows and face… Again.

From inside out.

November 2, 2008 at 2:25 am (Clumsy Moments)

This happened on April 30, 2007. We went to a swimming party, me, mom and my brother. Our mom drove us there. When we got there…. I borrowed Gillyn’s Total Girl, so I was going to return it to her on that day. It was inside the car so, I asked my mom for the car keys. I got the magazine inside the car. Locked the doors using the lock on the door. Leaving the keys inside the car. Those keys was attached on a key chain. That key chain also had our house keys. It was very difficult to get those keys inside the car. Men from the resort had a difficult time opening the window and using a wire to hook the keys in the car… I think this is the worst of all of my experiences.

Spice in my eyes.

November 2, 2008 at 2:45 am (Clumsy Moments)

I was in 1st Grade. It was another Sportsfest. Though, in a different school, Amazing Grace School. I was sitting in a corner near a chili plant. I didn’t know it was chili. I picked some chili peppers. I squished it. Then my eyes were itchy because it was windy and I something was in my eyes. I scratched it. I started to feel the hot and spicy feel that you can feel when you eat chili peppers but that feeling was in my eyes. I started to cry. I ran to the nearest wash room. Splashed and splashed water in my eyes. Ever notice that I am really unlucky when it comes to Sportsfests???

Chewing gums are for chewing

November 2, 2008 at 3:04 am (Clumsy Moments)

We were at Gillyn’s house. We decided to go to Janica’s house. It was at the other end of the street. I was chewing gum. All three of us were laughing hard. I accidentally swallowed the chewing gum. I actually felt I was choking. Wahahaha… Try doing that sometimes…JOKE!

My Speech

November 7, 2008 at 1:49 pm (Clumsy Moments, Current Events of rosh's life)

I am a contestant in this year’s extemporaneous speech for the English month. We were given the theme “When a child reads, his culture lives.” It seemed more like an on-the-spot essay making contest. I was still composing my essay when were unexpectedly called for recording. I did terribly. I made alot of mistakes, mispronounced words, made alot of awkward pauses. I was totally blanked! I am still hoping to get a place higher than last.

November 24, 2008 at 12:04 pm (Current Events of rosh's life)

I got through my weekend just by playing Special Force all day. I could have been doing my projects but I just played and played.

I am terrible in playing SF. Though I enjoy it anyways.

Bonifacio Day

November 30, 2008 at 6:45 am (Current Events of rosh's life, My Opinion Strikes!)

Today is a national holiday. I wonder why our president declared that there are no classes for tomorrow. Today is Bonifacio Day. Andres Bonifacio is the Supremo of the Katipunan. He is my favorite hero. He was just a common citizen who had a reason to fight. He contributed much to the Philippine Revolution against the Spaniards. He was misjudged of being illiterate by Daniel Tirona. I even included Andres Bonifacio in my slogan for Ms. English 2008. He is very significant.

Mystery Milk

December 14, 2008 at 10:40 am (My Opinion Strikes!)

I remember this summer, we kept a carton of milk in a cabinet underneath our kitchen counter. One morning, my mom found that carton of milk empty. The seal on top isn’t tampered. She only found one tiny hole in it. What could have possibly drank a carton of 1 litre milk in just one night??? Mysterious. It couldn’t be a rat??? Rats don’t usually drink a liter of milk. It can’t be a legion of rats too. There wasn’t a trace of spilled milk. Neither of us, family members, would intend to punch a tiny hole on that carton of milk and drink it all up in one night… What could have happened? Who or what drank this mystery milk??? Mysterious isn’t it?

I wonder why I even put this on my blog. I wonder… Yes, both of the mystery milk and why I put this on my blog.

What a run.

January 16, 2009 at 2:23 pm (Current Events of rosh's life)

Today we practiced our sprint for our Foundation. I ran against the second year student, Abby. I ran. It was embarrassing. I don’t know if I won or what. The freshmen did great. I hope we win.

PHC

January 17, 2009 at 11:59 am (Current Events of rosh's life)

Today we spent almost the whole day in the Philippine Heart Center. I did nothing there but sit & whine; eat & sit. I only had something to do there for a few minutes. I played Lumines Block and I went to the fifth floor using only the stairs. I actually strained my legs from our race yesterday. Now, it’s very painful. But I still used the stairs when we were going to the 6th floor. Fine, call me crazy. When we got to the parking(it was on the rooftop), I saw the most wonderful view. It was the sun soon setting. Some bats were migrating by flocks. It was significant. I took a photo of it. When were on top of a high way, I also saw the beautiful sunset with shades of pink and orange. Unluckily, I didn’t get the chance to photograph it.

One day you’re in

April 28, 2009 at 1:45 pm (Current Events of rosh's life, My Opinion Strikes!)

I got hooked on Project Runway. It didn’t matter what time it is or what season the show was even if I saw it 3 times already, when it’s Project Runway, there are no excuses. I just sat in front of the TV and watched it passionately. It’s a really great show. My favorite designer in Season five is Kenley Collins. She likes vintage in the 1940’s. She’s really pretty and I love her designs. Sometimes my brother with even watch with me and imitate Heidi Klum’s strut. HAHA=]

Hospital Tales

April 28, 2009 at 1:38 pm (Current Events of rosh's life)

I’ve spent the last few days in a hospital. My dad was hospitalized for 3 days. The room in Alabang Medical Center was a bit small. Room capacity is probably for 2 persons only: the patient and the patient’s guardian.

My first few moments there was quite unpleasant. I almost got hit by a car and was sandwiched by the elevator doors. It was a good thing I had a lot of baggage with me to protect me from the closing of those impatient doors. I admit that I fear automatic doors in malls and that includes elevators.

When I took my first steps inside the room, there was this certain smell. It stung my nose and made me feel nauseated. My nose got used to the smell and it didn’t stung anymore. The bath room was very small… very, very small. It made it a bit impossible for me to move comfortably in it. The room made me a little impossible to be comfortable in it. It was a hospital room where sick people stay. Sick wit germs. And you’re not sure if the hospital people thoroughly cleans the place. So we started of by cleaning the room using disinfectants.

On our first day there, we dropped by ATC to buy a few things and dinner. Daddy had his check-up and stuff. He also had to fast. The room was cold and I felt uncomfortable sleeping. I slept a little late and when I woke up the next morning, I was cold and desired for more sleep. That was the day of dad’s operation. He got back to the room by noon. It was a success. Thank God for that.

I wasn’t used to doing nothing in the afternoon and sleeping early. I tried looking for something to do. I found what I loved the best: eat. I went downstairs and off to Yellow Cab. I bought pasta. It was a little spicy but it was delicious. Mother didn’t like it.

I also had my clumsy moments. I do not want to mention them anymore.

On our third day, I went to ATC again but this time on my own. I ate lunch there and brought back lunch to the hospital. I went to Power Books there, I scanned and read some portions of Bakit baliktad mag-basa ng libro ang mga Pilipino? by Bob Ong. The book made fun and mockery of Filipino sub-cultures and politics. I was laughing while reading it. I wanted to buy it. I didn’t have any money with me. Maybe next time. Then I went to McDo to buy their lunch, walked a few meters, went up the overpass, and rode a jeep back to the hospital. It was midday. That morning it was drizzling. By noon, it was hot. I felt like my hair was burning.

I will end my hospital story there. I know I complained alot. That didn’t matter much. The important thing is the operation went well. The stones retrieved were a bit over sized. What I learned from all these is that most HOSPITAL EMPLOYEES (excluding the medical personnel) DO NOT KNOW HOW TO KNOCK! They would just barge in the room… End of story=]

Insomniac

April 16, 2009 at 2:48 pm (Uncategorized)

Last night was a terrible night. After talking on the phone with Jea for a few minutes, I started reading my newly-bought book, The Kite Runner. After a few chapters, I watched TV. Then read the book again and watched Tv again. I decided to go to sleep. I couldn’t get any of it. I lied in bed at 11.30 pm but fell asleep at 2 am. Why? I don’t know. My mind didn’t like the idea of sleep and decided to think of thoughts that are very disturbing, weird, irritating and misery-causing. There were a few good thoughts. I would usually catch myself staring blankly at the lights(that was one of the causes of my insomnia). It’s really bothering. I coudn’t sleep very well at my position. My back and my stomach hurt. Curse that iced tea I drank after dinner last night! It was the cause of my stomach ache. I hate insomnia and sleep. Confusing? Yes!

This morning, I woke up with still a stomach and back ache plus a very wonderful headache. I was my usual irritated self every morning including this morning. I slept for only 5 hours. Whatever… That’s the least of my worries.

A day has passed

April 2, 2009 at 3:16 pm (Current Events of rosh's life)

Naging maayos naman ang takbo ng araw ko ngayon.

We went to Ortigas. Specifically in Robinson’s Galleria which is my favorite mall. We didn’t do anything much there. Then we went to The Linden Suites. My tita’s hotel room had a big window on the 21st floor. The view was wonderful. I took several pictures. There I was able to see almost all of Quezon City and some portions of Makati. The view from above was significant. You will be able to see the entire Megamall. We examined people walking along San Miguel Avenue. They were tiny from our view. Me, my brother, Ivan and ate Vanesa even played I Spy. I kinda wished I could open the window. By the time it was dark, the view became more wonderful. City lights all shined from below. A half moon and some stars are twinkling up above. For me, nothing is more beautiful than the night sky. Examining the night sky sort of became a habit to me. Like I’d sleep better if I got a glance of the night sky.

I was also able to borrow the sequel of Twilight, New Moon, from ate Vane. She was actually done reading it. She is already beginning to read Book 3 of the series. I am also happy because he texted me. Wahaha. I know, I’m crazy. Even it was only for a brief period. It doesn’t matter. Atleast we had contact at some point.

Not “Dazzled” by Sir Cullen

April 1, 2009 at 7:03 am (My Opinion Strikes!)

I got hooked in reading Twilight. Once you start reading the story, you’ll get curious to know what will happen next. I unbelievably read 8 chapters for a few hours. Now I’m half way through the book. I don’t read that much before. I’m also reading Stainless Longganisa. I’m almost done with it to when I started on Twilight.

No, I am not addicted nor a fan. I’m just curious. Curious of why there are so many Filipino teenagers are obssessed with it. Some may not even like the story, they just enjoy seeing the oh so perfect vampire, Edward Cullen. I haven’t seen the movie yet. And no I have no plans for it. I’d rather read the story. I’m not a fan of best selling books. Yes, I’m no fan of Twilight. I’m not like thoose teenage girls who are “dazzled” by Sir Cullen. They’re so obssessed they bought the whole series but didn’t even bother reading it. Those girls who recites the Edward or Bella’s line before they even say it in the movie. No, I’m not one of them. I also don’t go kilig over their love story. I only do that certainly odd and weird emotion when it comes to reality. Love stories like those aren’t unique or unusual. You may think I’m crazy or cold that I don’t like Twilight. It’s not your problem nor mine. I told you, I’m just curious.

Summer Reads

March 31, 2009 at 1:45 am (Current Events of rosh's life)

Simula na ang summer! Di ba sabi ko lang na ayaw ko ng summer? OO, pag walang magawa. Ganun ang nangyari last year. Atleast may libangan.
